These parts interface with one another through a Borg Warner 1354 transfer case, which will use one to make a slip yoke to connect to a Jaguar suspension and also connects to a BW super T-10 transmission.

I should contend that any linkage weirdness on a Ranchero due to the steer logo is immediately classified as insane bullshift.
